Imagine setting off in the quiet of the early morning hours, as night slowly gives way to day. After a pleasant ride on the mountain railway up to an altitude of 2,000 metres, the hike into the darkness begins. Step by step, you feel nature awaken around you and the gentle light of the rising sun bathes the mountain world in a sea of breathtaking colours.

After a short hike (40 minutes, 130 metres altitude), you reach the Steinermandl viewing platform. From there, you can experience the magical moment when the first rays of sunlight appear over the peaks of the Dolomites and bathe the landscape in a golden light. The sky is coloured in soft shades of pink and one can feel the strength and peace that this moment brings. There is nothing more impressive than the atmosphere of sunrise over the mountains – an experience you will not soon forget.

For the sunrise hike, we recommend warm clothes and sturdy shoes. And don’t forget your camera: you absolutely must capture the impressive images of the sunrise!
