Brixen, one of the oldest towns in Tyrol and the capital of the Eisack Valley, combines art, history and spiritual life in a unique way. With around 22,000 inhabitants, it is the third largest city in South Tyrol and is nicknamed the “Bishop’s City” as it forms a diocese together with Bolzano.
