With love and heart for nature
Your host family Rogen
Preserve what is valuable, welcome what is new – your hosts at the Natur & Aktiv Hotel Rogen live and entertain according to this principle: Monika and Ewald Rogen welcome you with warm devotion and a deep love of South Tyrolean nature. They share this passion with their guests in an unobtrusive and authentic way, always contemporary and open to fresh ideas. This principle is also reflected in the cuisine – the entire kitchen team brings the beauty of nature to the plate with a pinch of down-to-earthness and conjures up dishes that are both rooted and innovative.
Let yourself be infected by the warm atmosphere and experience the feeling of being part of the family on holiday. As soon as you arrive, you will feel the warmth and security that characterise this special hotel.
Monika Rogen
Monika Rogen is the good soul of the hotel. She is usually at reception. But her favourite place to spend time is in the herb garden, which she tends with passion and dedication. She also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and is always coming up with new herb recipes. If time permits, she accompanies hikers to the most beautiful places in the region.
Ewald Rogen
Host Ewald is the man for everything. He is usually at the bar and helps out with the service. Ewald is always up for a laugh. On guided hikes, he entertains guests with stories from the past and many a curious and funny anecdote. His favourite thing to do is to accompany guests to the hotel's own Kaser-Walser-Alm above Spinges.
Lisa Rogen
Daughter Lisa works in the kitchen. After training at the Emma Hellenstainer vocational school in Brixen and several years of training in various restaurants, Lisa now skilfully wields pots and pans. She also enjoys helping out at the bar. She has drawn up the cocktail menu and created her own drinks. Lisa's cocktail is a must-try.
Jasmin Rogen
Daughter Jasmin attended the Kaiserhof hotel management school in Merano. Together with her older sister, she conjures up classic South Tyrolean dishes in the hotel kitchen, as well as creative modern culinary delights.
Tobias Rogen
Son Tobias, the youngest, has a job outside the hotel. He is on hand when there is a need in the hotel or on the nearby farm and actively supports the rest of the family.
Helena Rogen
Senior host Helena completes the Rogen women's trio in the nature kitchen. Her heart beats for the herb garden, which she has brought back into bloom together with her daughter-in-law Monika. She uses old recipes to make a wide variety of breads, which are extremely popular with guests.
