Anyone who has ever been out and about with our Ewald soon realises that he really does know every nook and cranny up here. You could almost think he knows every stone, every tree and perhaps even every ant personally.

As a passionate hiker and true connoisseur of the region, he guides our guests to the most beautiful vantage points, along impressive panoramic routes and to hidden favourite spots off the beaten track. To places where nature remains completely unspoilt and where you can enjoy the mountain world in all its tranquillity.

But Ewald doesn’t just know the most beautiful trails; he also knows the best places to stop for a bite to eat. He knows exactly which mountain hut serves the fluffiest Kaiserschmarrn, where the best bacon dumplings are served, and from which spot you can enjoy the most impressive view of the surrounding mountains.

But it’s not just the landscapes that make his tours so special. Ewald has an exciting story, an interesting anecdote or a special insider tip ready for almost every spot. This turns every hike into a varied journey of discovery, where you don’t just see the region, but really get to know it.

That’s precisely why the guided hikes with Ewald are among the most popular activities with our guests. Three times a week, we head out together into the countryside around Spinges and the surrounding mountains. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll, a hike through alpine pastures with stunning views, or something a bit more challenging with a summit experience – with such a varied range of routes, there’s something to suit every taste and fitness level.
