Exploring South Tyrol by bike
Mountain biking holidays in the Eisack Valley in South Tyrol
Blue skies, warm rays of sunshine, the scent of hay in the air and picture-postcard flower meadows. The Eisack Valley and the excellently developed network of cycle paths in South Tyrol, as well as the varied routes in the alpine pastures and mountains, offer ideal conditions for cycling and mountain biking. Keen cyclists can choose between different levels of difficulty and landscapes. If you want to return to your hotel at a leisurely pace, use the Gitschberg Jochtal Almencard and return to Natur & Aktiv Hotel Rogen in comfort by bus or train. We will of course be happy to help you with hiking tips – we are sure to have the perfect suggestion for you!
Cycling fun for young and old
Cycling with the family
With its eight nature parks, South Tyrol also offers plenty of cycling fun for families. Many of the routes are gentle and offer fun without too much effort, even for the little ones. Rest areas and shaded areas invite you to take a break. A tour that is particularly popular with families is the relaxing ride along the Val Pusteria cycle path to Lienz in Austria. A stop in Bruneck, the capital of the Puster Valley, is worthwhile, ideal for a stroll and an ice cream in the town hall square. From here, the train will take you back to Mühlbach or you can continue cycling at your leisure.
